Introducing “Spike” and his big brother

Our boys are getting bigger and bigger each day it seems, and this is especially true of Patrick. Not only is he getting bigger in size and weight, but he is also growing lots of hair on his head – hair that seems to have a life of its own. Its not curly like his big brother Zach, but instead is soft and stands on end. Because of this, we have started to call him ‘Spike’.

Introducing "Spike"

Zach is such a big help with his little brother – doing things like bringing diapers and socks for Patrick when Julia is changing him. Once his jobs are complete, he happily walks away, pushing his laundry bin (or ‘car-car’ as he calls it) around like he’s some sort of homeless man. ;)

It is so neat to see the two boys interact, and Zach is very curious and interested by ‘Spike’. I think these two boys are going to be very close brothers.

Patrick would play car-car … if he could

Today Julia lined up some of Zach’s car-car’s (with his permission, of course!) in front of Patrick as he reclined in a pillow. The expressions on his face are pretty cute. You ca see that he would like nothing more than to play with them … if only he could get his body to cooperate! :)

In other news, Glenda and Oliver came over for a visit during the afternoon. According to Julia, this was the best behaved (and friendly) that Zach has been thus far with Oliver. Typically he is a bit rough with him, but this time he was much more gentle, so we are happy about that!
